The Zip Line Canopy tour will send you sailing through the canopy top eye level with howler monkeys. Be sure to bring your camera and wear closed toed shoes. The tour consists of 17 stations and 2.5 kilometers of pure Jungle. The entire tour takes approximately 2 hours to complete. You can schedule the exact date and time of your canopy tour with the front desk any day except for Sundays when the zip-line is closed for business.

Achy from a long travel day or just want to start your trip off right? Yoga Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8-9 at the pool deck. The daily drop-in rate per person is $8 per classes. A private session is $45 per hour regardless of how many people are in your group.
Leave your wetsuit at you home! Off shore breezes and warm waves is Nicaragua’’ best natural resource, if you ask the locals. The times vary based upon the tides, so be sure to check with our local experts on the best time to go. Your surf instructor will transport you to Playa Hermosa for a 2-hour surf lesson for 2 on a private beautiful mile-long sandy beach in a semi-tropical forest. If you do not want a lesson then you can choose your board and surf with the locals.

Get ready to get dirty! Our local experts will provide you with all the information that you need to know about exploring the beach, trails and hills of San Juan del Sur on 4 wheels! You can decide whether or not you want a guide. There are a selection of bikes to choose from. The options are endless.

We have partnered with Playa Hermosa Surf Camp and Finca Palermo to offer daily horseback rides on the farm and local beaches. All of our rides include a local guide. Be sure to wear long pants and closed toed shoes. Prices vary depending on the length and location of your ride. Riding is always weather permitting so be sure to book in advance.
2 Hour Ride - $60 for 2 people
Sail away to Playa Blanca for a beautiful protected cove north of San Juan del Sur. This popular 1/2 day sail is the perfect combination of a relaxed sailing adventure with fun beach time for swimming. The sail includes an assortment of appetizers, Flor de Cana cocktails and national beer. You can also throw out a line and fish along the way. Our guests often catch mackerel, tuna and mahi mahi. If you want to eat your catch, then bring it back to the restaurant and let our chefs prepare your dinner.

Villas de Palermo has partnered with the Casa Llanta Fund which serves to promote sustainable community development and education. The Casa Llanta Fund sponsors the local special needs school and bi-weekly English classes in the local community. If you want to give back to the local community while meeting the locals, then considering volunteering.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Monday and Wednesday from 2-3:30 - Volunteer in English Classes provided to the local & assist with reading and childrens school work.
8-12 Daily - Volunteer in Special Needs School at Los Pipitos
$10 per person for visit to a local school - Villas de Palermo donates 100% of the fee to the local non-profit which is put towards ongoing operation costs of the local schools.
